The only symptoms of PCOS that I have are the cysts, the infertility (unless on meds), and I had horrible acne until I was on birth control. I'm pretty much a skinny person and my weight doesn't fluctuate. Does anyone else have a problem with nausea? Could it be from the cysts or maybe it's because I eat a lot of sugary products? It's hard finding a good doctor for me. My wife is in the military so I use the doctors on base and a lot of them are students and don't know much about PCOS. Which sucks! I'm cutting sugar out of my diet and I don't feel as nauseas, but my blood sugar gets low. And I get in a bad mood when my blood sugar is too low
I can only speak from my experience. I had horrible digestive issues, including nausea and vomiting. This went on for a long while before I found a doctor who took me seriously. I was referred to a GI specialist, and he told me I had to stay away from gluten. My colon was inflamed. My first suggestion would be to keep a food journal by writing down what you eat and any symptoms you feel that day. As many women with PCOS, I also have the blood sugar issue. When my blood sugar drops, I can get nauseous.
I have a low level nausea almost every day, but I realized recently that can be a side effect of hyper/hypoglycemia, diabetes or something like that. I'm planning on asking my doctor if he knows of anything to help.
I do have problems with weight gain and I have insulin resistance. I do not get cysts. I have issues with nausea monthly. I first thought that it might be that I was pregnant but every test was negative. I looked it up on the internet and it said nausea was very common in any hormonal changes. Hope this helps.
