I go in for surgery mid Nov. looking to hear about it from someone whom has gone through it. Also looking for weight loss solutions. Anyone recommend anything that particularly helped the best?
Thank you everyone I appreciate your feed back.
I was the opposite. I couldn’t lay down at all! It does only last for a day or two.
The shoulder pain is caused by the gas moving up through your body from the surgery. They put gas into your belly or wherever to lift your organs out of the way so they can get to the area they need to perform the surgery on.
I had surgery last year and I found a heat pad and laying down helped. It goes away after a couple days
Thank you Heather. What causes the shoulder pain?
I have had 2 laps, although they were technically for Endo not PCOS. The first time they found "nothing", one year and a new RE later, I insisted on it again and he found so much. Adhesions all over my ovaries and tubes, plus adhesions on my bowels (which totally explained the issues with constipation). Overall it's not a bad surgery. The worst part is the shoulder pain afterwards. Nothing will help that except a heating pad. Good luck!
