I have pcos and hypothyroidism. I can’t take metformin though because I also have tendencies to have low blood sugars even after I eat. My obgyn hasn’t sent me else where as far as specialist. Ovasitol has been recommended a lot. It seems to help with a lot of the symptoms from insulin resistance and it isn't like metformin. There are others that can help regulate like black cohost, raspberry leaf, magnesium, and a few others that I can't think of right now.
Ask your obgyn about natural treatments and preseed lubricant. There are options.
I have low blood sugar as well and Metformin helped me. Both with my sugar lows and with getting pregnant. Most doctors don't believe it when I tell them I take it for hypoglycemia. However, within the first couple of days of taking it, I felt like a different person. No more constant hunger. No more crashes. My husband even noticed and kept asking me if I had to eat (cuz I would have to eat every 2-3 hours). And, I got pregnant the first month I was on it. I was told by specialist that Metformin helps your body adjust to normal- whether it is high or low sugar. I say try it. Good luck.
Thank you I see her on Tuesday. Thank you again
