Flu-like Symptoms In Afternoon?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone,

For as long as I can remember, I've often felt flu-like symptoms during my afternoons (especially while at work). I feel like it is more likely with periods of heightened anxiety. I'm usually working at the office, but I don't really use the overhead fluorescents and get sunshine from my windows. I'm not sure if this is PCOS or anxiety related, but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks!,
Lindsay

I used to get this way! I never officially diagnosed it with a doctor but I'm pretty sure it was blood sugar crashes. I try to keep my lunches free of simple carbohydrates and drink lots of water and a well balanced lunch - it's been improving. I used to crash so hard at 2pm like clock work. Metformin seems to be helping too.

Thank you @A myPCOSteam Member ! Good to know I’m not alone. I’ve been on Metformin for about a year and a half, and it was helping. I think I need to up my protein intake around lunch... I’ll make sure to avoid simple carbs at lunch and see if it helps! Thanks again 😊
