Hormone Replacement Therapy?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi! I been diagnosed with PCOS in 2014 but recently I changed my eating habits day by day. Didn’t start working out yet but I have a Hormone Replacement Appointment in August so I was wondering if anyone went there and seen changes? Can you explain anything I should know? I have too much testosterone and I’m trying to get myself together. I’m always tired too.

Great job and congrats on the healthy changes so far!

Do some prep before your appointment; write down all your symptoms, any questions, what has worked and what has not so far, tell them of your improved eating habits, and think about what kind of goals you hope to achieve thru treatment.

I see an endo and he put me on spironolactone for my high testosterone - my testosterone has dropped from 45-25. My goals were to lessen the hair growth on my face and improve my glucose and A1c numbers and lose weight (I'm on metformin for that).

Good luck at your appointment - let us know how it goes!

I did some blood tests and urine one too. My dad bought me pregnitude as well since I didn’t get my period because I got off birth control. Hopefully by the time I have the appointment, she can tell me what I need and stuff. Thank You!
