Gum Infection
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hello!

Since I was 16 years the doctors told me that I had PCOS and I have still the normal symptoms: hirsurtism, acne, oil skin...but I follow a healthy diet and my weight is normal. Since July I have gingivitis and I was visiting different dentists, but finally I couldn't solve the problem. Do you know if there is a relation between the PCOS and the gum infections? Or maybe is it because I take the birth control pill as a treatment?

Thank you in advance!

There is a link between PCOS and gum and teeth issues.

Oh I meant to say dentists said it wasnt my teeth it was my gums, just to clarify but the food would get stuck back there causing issues

I had issues with my wisdom teeth. Basically I begged dentists to pull them out even though I'm afraid of it. They said its unnecessary! Anyways I changed my diet, cut back on sugar and no more swollen, sore gums, no more infections! Try it...
