I have prolonged menstrual periods that go on for months as long as 10 months stop for about 3 weeks and back to bleeding some days are abnormal heavy bleeding but mostly lighter days but always non stop

Was diagnosed with hypothyroid and PCOS. Periods are not heavy but have lasted for 2 months at a time for the last 3 times. Ultrasound didn't find anything, and Doctor's say my levels are "normal" now after being on thyroid medicine and metformin for 6 months but my period won't regulate. Anyone else have something similar?

After my Miscarriage in August my periods didn’t really start again until October. My periods last anywhere from two weeks to 2 1/2 weeks and I was wondering if that’s normal? And I cramp all the time, I don’t have to be on my period to cramp. I don’t want to go back on birth control because of the circumstances of where birth control cause me to have PCOS. So my body doesn’t tolerate the oral birth control. And my GYN put me on the mirena iud due to it being easier for me to handle after after 4 extremely painful cervical biopsies due to a possible cervical cancer scare. Thank God for it being negative. But what I want to know would it even be possible for me to get pregnant with me having very heavy and abnormal periods? Me and my significant other want to start trying but I don’t want to be put into a depression when it comes back no.

Hi ladies, I went to the loo before I got in the shower and when I wiped I discovered that my periods have started. They're light at the moment but they are also very unpredictable as we all know
The only thing is my doctors surgery is open today, but for pre-booked appointments only, so I don't think there's a receptionist in the surgery. Hello Everyone!

Has anyone else experienced prolonged bleeding while having PCOS?? I’ve had this “period” since December 2017 and was recently put on birth control to stop the bleeding due to becoming anemic. I’ve had a Pap smear and it came back “normal”. Is there something out there (besides birth control) I can take to stop this issue?

I was sleeping last night and woke up around midnight and was bleeding heavily. I had no pain or cramps. Just came rushing out of me! And still remains heavy! There was lots of blood clots too. I'm sure I am fine but just wondering if anyone has had similar issues!

so this is my first time with mirena and i was given it to help ease my PCOS/adenomyosis/fibroid symptoms. I'd have spotting sometimes but it would normally go away that day.

But i'm at like, the 10 month mark, and this week i've had a very light bleed on and off for about 7 days with some mild cramps (either normal mild or based on what i used to get) and i'm wondering if that's normal?

In the beginning of July 2017 I started to get a light period with brown-ish blood. I’ve had PCOS and absent periods since I was 12 so I figured this was just a period for me. Well it lasted 4 months and turned into red blood and semi-heavy bleeding. I went to my endo and he prescribed 4 BC pills/day for 4 days 3 for 3 and 2 for 2 to stop the bleeding.
