A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys, i started my first cycle of clomid last night after provera. Can you use metformin and clomid? Ive heard alot of people being offered metformin but ive never been offered this never since i was diagnosed with PCOS im not sure why but wondered if you can take both? And if its worth asking my doctor for this aswell im presuming you have one or the other.

Yes, you can take metformin with clomid or femara. Metformin and femara is actually the better combo though. Less likely twins or multiples, higher success rate, higher live birth and full term rate.

You take metformin daily and clomid or femara days 3-6 (or whatever days) of cycle.
