So I hardly ever get a period on my own so every 2 to 3 months I take provera to induce one. Over the last year my periods have been heavy and very painful with a multitude of other issues. My RE recommended I start norethindrone and was just wondering if anyone else is on it and has had luck? Also he said theres a chance I may have endometriosis as well but anyone with pcos have endometriosis as well? Or people with PCOS have worsening periods with age? Hey! I have PCOS as well as endo. My periods were continually growing worse and worse... ending in trips to the ER almost every time. Endo pain, for me, also causes a BUNCH of other symptoms! I am still constantly googling. Literally everything from back pain to leg pain and from nausea to tiredness, with discharges and wonky spotting in between. It can mess with your muscles, your nerves, your GI and more. It’s possible to have both, and would be good to talk to your doctor about!
For pain, I have totally changed my diet, got on Mirena (even though, ironically, it’s not the best for PCOS) and use CBD oil. Hope this helps, and hope you start improving!
I have endometriosis as well as pcos. It's what causes the majority of my period pains and I also get pains in between period. My period have got worse over the years. Mine are very intense now, but my doctor has no prescribed anything for the pain
