Hi! I am new to this app, I have been on a similar app for my lupus and the community helped me so much, I didn’t know there was one for pcos. I had my first ruptured cyst at 16 and was diagnosed with pcos. I have had over 28 cysts that had come and gone. I also had fibroids come and go. I ruptured over 5 cysts since I was 16. That's a great start! Then you must ask yourself what may be missing as part of that healthy lifestyle. Maybe, despite all your physical activity, you don't do enough to de-stress or get enough sleep during the workweek. Stress or poor sleep, esp. compounded over time, will wreak havoc on our hormones & overall health! Maybe there are other foods, herbs, and teas you could add to your diet to make it even more nutritious & toxin-fighting. Our bodies are constantly fighting off environmental toxins & even toxins that we consume and put on our skin/hair, so we have to help the body by consuming specifically detoxifying things.

First of all, welcome! Second of all, don't be afraid - getting off BC is actually the BEST thing you can do for your PCOS! I have no doubt 6 years of BC has exacerbated your symptoms, but I'm surprised a Big Pharma Priest would even tell you that. They want you to take more pharmaceuticals, not less! But there are many natural treatment methods, even if you don't have "typical" PCOS. What is your diet and level of physical activity?

@A myPCOSteam Member thank you for answering!! I am pretty active and my diet during the week is pretty good, on the weekends I get off track. I’m also a personal trainer so I try to live a mostly healthy lifestyle
