because i got diagnosed with that and every time i search it up the pcos comes out and i just want to make sure it's what i have or not..

I would guess “peripherally oriented” means that the follicles are on the outside of the ovaries. Did you ask your doctor what it meant? My best non-medical guess is that it’s still PCOS without the cysts (which is not required for the diagnosis).
