Exercise Modification

Exercise Modification

Every exercise regimen I see involves impact or resistance. I am a hot mess :)

In my right side (which is my strongest side), I have a lumbar/SI joint injury where sciatica and arthritis has set in, tendinitis in one bicep and bursitis in that shoulder, as well as plantar fasciitis. Any recommendations for modifications?

What Easy To Do At Home Exercise Routines Work For You?

Hi ladies

I'm looking for beneficial exercise routines that can easily be done at home.
What has worked for you to regulate periods, lose weight ( I dont need to lose much) and overall body strengthening?
I cant join any classes cause I live in a small town and I work very irregular shifts.

Thank you!

Does Anyone Have Experience With The PCOS Exercise Program From Erika Volk Fitness?

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering before buying into this exercise program specifically designed for women with PCOS, if anyone has tried her work out program?
(not trying to promote, just want some more info before I join :) )
Erika Volk is a fitness instructor who has PCOS and has apperently done a lot of research in this area.
Opinions anyone?

Does Anyone Else Get Awful Pain After Hi-impact Exercise?

Does Anyone Else Get Awful Pain After Hi-impact Exercise?

Hey everyone

One of the main reasons I went to the docs all those years ago is because I experience awful “menstrual” pain as a result of doing vigorous exercise.
This happens regardless of where I am in my cycle, not just when I’m on my period.

I enjoy HIIT sessions and weight training, and realise the importance of this more than ever that now I have the PCOS diagnosis. The pain is bad enough that I have to stop in the middle of a session and go sit on… read more

That's true if the HIIT session is too long. I have read that if it's 15 mins and it is mixed with weight training then it can be beneficial for weight… read more

Has Anyone Else Been Unable To Conceive Despite Diet, Weight Loss, Clomid, Etc?

I'm 34 and was diagnosed at 14. I've tried diet, exercise, metformin, provera, clomid and injections. I've never been able to get pregnant. It is so isolating and painful.

Advice For Losing Weight Against All Odds?

Advice For Losing Weight Against All Odds?

I eat a very protein heavy, low carb diet and have for years. I also run half marathons and exercise daily. If I don't do these things I gain weight like no one's business and I sure as heck do not EVER lose. The only time I was thin was when I had uterine cancer. PCOS has been a huge struggle for me. Can anyone recommend any sort of help or treatment that works if diet and exercise do not? I am on Metformin as well. Anytime I ask a doctor I feel they judge I am lying.… read more
