I've always struggled with my weight but now I'm in my 30s and was recently diagnosed with diabetes type 2 which is common in my family genes and this time I really want to become healthier I'm more determined than I've ever been and I could use advice... So my question is what kind of exercises and diets do you ladies do or have done to lose weight and keep it off
What is the best form of exercise do you feel that works best for PCOS? I’ve been struggling so much with finding something to just get started.
Every exercise regimen I see involves impact or resistance. I am a hot mess :)
In my right side (which is my strongest side), I have a lumbar/SI joint injury where sciatica and arthritis has set in, tendinitis in one bicep and bursitis in that shoulder, as well as plantar fasciitis. Any recommendations for modifications?
I'm looking for beneficial exercise routines that can easily be done at home.
What has worked for you to regulate periods, lose weight ( I dont need to lose much) and overall body strengthening?
I cant join any classes cause I live in a small town and I work very irregular shifts.

Erika Volk is a fitness instructor who has PCOS and has apperently done a lot of research in this area.
One of the main reasons I went to the docs all those years ago is because I experience awful “menstrual” pain as a result of doing vigorous exercise.
This happens regardless of where I am in my cycle, not just when I’m on my period.

I eat a very protein heavy, low carb diet and have for years. I also run half marathons and exercise daily. If I don't do these things I gain weight like no one's business and I sure as heck do not EVER lose. The only time I was thin was when I had uterine cancer. PCOS has been a huge struggle for me. I don't have access to a doctor nearly as often as I should and I haven't seen the same doctor often. I was hoping for some advice that goes beyond "Exercise and eat right"
