Hello, I have PCOS and I'm doing a research paper on PCOS for my English Class and was wondering if there's anyone on the medical staff that could answer some questions? I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 21 years old and I'm now 40 years old. It's hard to lose weight, become pregnant (given up on that), the missed periods, insulin resistance and my list go on. So when we were given the option to write a research paper on an issue that means the most to us, I picked PCOS. Not many people out… read more
I believe healthy lifestyle can inprove PCOS. I have seen many successful pregnancy cases with PCOS just by natural care.
I have had PCOS for approximately 3 years. In between these 3 years I've have maybe 2 periods (random spotting inbetween the count of this is unknown but a lot). I just started a period 2 weeks ago. My last period was May of 2018 and it was normal and lasted about 7-9 days or so and wast super heavy, just normal. However, this period IS SO HEAVY and I have been clotting a lot. Its to the point i cannot wear tampons because the clots stop from my flow and im having to change my Tampon almost… read more
I have had the same issues before in the past, I found it best to see my Primary, who was able to give me medication to slow the bleeding, and examine the clots in case something else was going on

Almost every time I have sex with my boyfriend, i experience extreme abdominal cramps afterwards and sometimes even during. I'm just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and has any solutions?
I do and it’s horrible! Going next week to see if I can have an ablation, has anyone here tried that?
I have had really bad acid reflex/heartburn for the past couple years. Here recently I have had to take 2-3 tums a couple times a day just to settle it down. Is this related to PCOS or could it be something else unrelated? I know acid reflex can lead to esophagus cancer but I'm really hoping it's not that.
I have had acid reflux/heartburn for a long time now. I was on omeprazole for it for 6 years, until this year, when I found out it was making me extremely anemic. My doctor was ordering scopes and… read more

Same!! The exhaustion feels like it's never ending -- go bed early and sleep in -- nothing helps. I also have the back pain as well. Before I knew I had PCOS I was seeing a physical therapist. This… read more
I have recently started taking Metformin and it’s causing stomach issues. I experience nausea and diarrhea. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to help with the diarrhea? I have thought about taking Imodium or trying a probiotic to see if that helps. If there has been anything that has worked for you please let me know! I would rather try and treat the side effects than give up on the metformin because I think it is really helping me.
for me, it helped regulate my periods... that is about it..
So I've been having pains in both my ovaries and what feels slightly higher almost in line with my belly button on the left and normally I get sore pains from the Cysts a couple of times a month but it's been non stop for 4 days now and I'm concerned. Could this be the metformin working or does anyone else get this problem? I just don't want to ignore something if it's a concern. Any help would be appreciated.
I had terrible abdominal cramps and pain with metformin.
Last 3 periods have only spotted or have only been super light and only lasted 3 days. Before I would have a period every other month and bled heavy then light like normal and for 7 to 10 days. I've been losing weight recently and have lost 20lbs in 2 1/2 months I found out a month ago at the doctor's and can tell I'm still losing weight.
I ace been the same since the birth of my son. My periods have been scanty and light. This month I had the copper iud fitted and I have literally only had 14 days where I haven’t bled since. Suffering… read more
Just wondering if any of you ladies have experienced sharp pains in the ovary area? This is the third time ive had this happen since my PCOS kicked up. Just felt like a sharp almost pop feeling in my low left abdominal area, just right of my hip bone. Now it feels a bit sore in that area.
Same has happened to me at several occasion, most likely a cyst that ruptured, However if the pain persist for more then a few hours I would seek medical attention :)
