No. I've been on the Depo Shot and haven't had a period in a long while. Once it was explained to me, I've had no worries concerning not having a period.

The lining of our endometrium doesn't just go away. It just builds up and gets thicker. I have had a few D&C's over the years when mine was too thick. My Dr now does a vaginal ultrasound every 6 months to measure the thickness of my endometrium lining. Provera can be taken to induce periods if the lining is too thick. Letting it go for a long time leads to hyperplasia and then eventually, to cancer. This is,my biggest challenge *other than this chin hair 😢).
