Can PCOS Get Worse?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed about 6 years ago, with the typical symptoms: hair growth, cysts, weight gain, mood swings.. now I'm 22 and I'm getting more symptoms like skin tags, fatigue, pelvic pain, hip and back pain etc. I am just wondering if my symptoms have gotten worse or if not I'm not sure what's happening... Any help would be really appreciated x 🙂

I went from absent periods (maybe 1-2 periods a year) to prolonged non stop bleeding. So yes I think they get better and worse over time. Definitely see your doctor.

I have found that things I never noticed before I'm not noticing now. I'm 40 now so not sure if it can get worse, but age doesn't help matter's. A low Thyroid could also be the case. See your doctor to have this checked.
