Has Anyone With PCOS Been Able To Have Babies?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

My boyfriend and I want to have kids one day. He’s aware I have PCOS and it may effect us having children. I just want to know the possibility of having babies with PCOS. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I had been trying for a while before I found out I had PCOS and tried for a while after. Then, I gave up. And I was truly ok with not being able to have children. Then I found out I was pregnant with my one and only. He will be 12 years in a couple weeks.

I have PCOS, and I have two kids! I had them when I was 29 and 33 I believe. The first time only took about four months of trying. Metformin, weight loss, and thyroid medication seemed to do the trick (I have hypothyroidism). But the second took almost two years. I was still on metformin and thyroid medication, and again I lost weight. But I honestly think it took giving up trying (quit stressing about it) did the trick. Getting pregnant with PCOS isn't easy, but it's not necessarily impossible.

Well for me I was married once for 5 and half years. I turn 40 today and have never been pregnant. It is extremely difficult. Talk with your doctor for some advice.
