How do you cope with the sugar cravings? What do you do to stop the cravings?

Ugh, I wish I knew! Sometimes when I'm doing really well on a low carb diet, I can manage to satisfy them with just fruit. If I give in and have even one regular desert or piece of candy, I'm done for! The diet totally just fails, because after that I can't keep it up. I usually only give in when it seems like I'm not losing any more weight on the diet anyway, but still!

And I can't do Stevia or any other artificial sweetener either. They are just too gross tasting for me, so sweet I want to gag. The only thing I can do artificial sweetener in is gum.

My bigger problem is carb cravings though. I'm REALLY not a meat person. I don't like it. I make myself eat it, but it's usually a chore. Pasta, Potatoes, Rice, Cereal - those are the things that kill me the most.

Sugar is the devil, when you have PCOS. lol Berries and dark chocolate might subside your craving. I said might. You can eat sugar in moderation. I usually get a piece of chocolate or a small piece of something sweet. We all battle with wanting Sugar and Carbs.

Yes, we do crave more carbs than other people. No it isn't fair. but that is the way God made us, we have to be happy with it. Find different ways to satisfy our cravings.

Doesn't it seem so unfair that PCOS makes us crave carbs more than other people, but then they are even worse for us than the average person.
