Ive been to my dr asking for help with my pcis and she says exercise and eat different. Welp, if that helped i wouldnt be asking. I asked her about adipex and she said they dont prescribe weight loss meds there. Ive been on metformin for about 7 months as well as a boatload of bp meds and ive gained 10 lbs! I need help with the weight. Its making me miserable. Oh and the fatigue... horrible. Sometimes i just want to die. Any suggestions??

My endocrinologist started me on saxenda 2 weeks ago. She also told me to eat 40% carbs, 40% protein, 20% fats and between 1,200-1,500 calories. I work out Mon-Fri before work. 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes weights. I wasn’t losing much weight but now with the saxenda I have already seen a improvement. I’m not on the highest dose yet. Thats when I am supposed to see the greatest difference.

Low carb and high protein diet (pretty much Paleo/Atkins or a less extreme version) is the best way I've found to lose weight and minimise symptoms. Ditch sugar. I'm on metformin though and I've gained weight too because it actually made me want to eat more (especially carbs) to curve the nausea which I had really bad in the first month. I'm now trying to exercise daily again, even if it's just a 20 minute walk because it improves my mood and helps try to shift the weight. You will get there. I know it's hard. With weight loss you have to try and stay determined and focussed on your goal, once you start to lose some it will keep you going. Good luck x

Sounds silly maybe, but have you ever tried a Paleo diet? My husband and I started it over the weekend, just to eat healthier and we’re not SUPER strict about it but it does make both of us feel so much better eating food that’s actually good for you! We don’t feel bloated when we’re done eating and it helps with your energy level too to not have lots of processed, bad for you sugars and carbs going into your body

I'm sorry, don't be depressed over it! I started taking sawgrass palmetto (a vitamin) recommended by my OBGYN aunt. It has helped me in getting my period more frequently.
