Angela explains it better, but basically PCOS is a problem at the cellular level. The way your cells work impact how your hormones function. So your hormones get out of balance, and your body does things like irregular periods, acne, hair growth in not hairy places, hair loss on your head, skin tags, mood swings, etc. There are medicine and supplements as options to help control your symptoms but nothing is a “cure” right now because we can’t change our cell structure.

It’s normal to have so many questions! As far as I know, there is only one type. The best resource I’ve found thus far is the PCOS workbook by Angela Grassi. She explains PCOS very simply, and her blog is also current with updates from medical papers. She sticks to the science and doesn’t speculate.
