I have just recently went off birth control. I am in my second cycle and in the last month or so i have gained about 7lbs. Hi Amber,
I can definitely relate to this situation. I was on birth control pills for 11 years and did not gain weight or have insulin resistance until last year. BC did seem to mask a lot of my symptoms, except anxiety/panic and migraines. I started gaining significant weight for the past few years and a new physician diagnosed me after confirming her suspicions via a blood test.
With that said, you don’t have to be insulin resistant to have PCOS, as I’m sure you know. @A myPCOSteam Member recommended a great diet resource. I would suggest seeing a dietician and/or nutritional coach to create a customized plan. Although you may not have PCOS, you could have sleep apnea (hence the fatigue), which is also another common symptom.
Let us know what you find out and all the best to you.

Hi Amber! It is a struggle with PCOS for sure. We almost all swear by some form of low carb diet for the weight loss. There are several good books out there: The PCOS Workbook, the PCOS diet plan, and Easy PCOS diet cookbook are the ones I would recommend.
It did for me. Most women with PCOS have these symptoms
It did for me and I've heard and read it does for most women I believe it all depends on how bad your PCOS symptoms are.
