Similiar story here! Can't take BC cause of migraines, tried a few brands. Migraines atleast weekly for a year... I was determined to "fix" my PCOS. Now take provera (progesterone-only) for 10 days every 3 months. This is apparently the minimum you need to bleed to avoid cancer/additional problems. Might be worth it
Never took BC and been living with pcos since 1985, nun of my medical team said i needed it so never was put on it. When i did ask my obgyn about it she told me it only masked the issues n unless i was needing it for a specific reason (like actual birth control) there was 0 reason for it.
I’m taking Norethindrone, but it’s every day. I may ask about Provera at my next app’t - that sounds much more reasonable!
Thank you!
That makes me want to throw these pills in the trash AND maybe look for a new doctor. 😂 Thank you for responding ☺️
