Extreme Anger About A Week B4 Your Period?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I've noticed that the past 2-3 months, I have been more angry than usual, compared to my normal pms symptoms. It's starting to affect my job.

I think dieting is really hard and often unrealistic. Check out myfitnesspal, I've lost 3 lbs in 2 weeks. It uses your weight, height, personal goals, ect to help you lose weight. It's most like a diet/exercise journal, expect you can look up what you ate, instead of having to type all the nutrition facts. Or if you use a recipe online, you can add the link and it will figure all the nutrition facts for you. If you join, let me know :) Oh and it's free!

AJB1014 it's funny you mentioned the 5-HTP I think i have that on my amazon shopping list. :). I also use to take vit D but I was worried about taking to much so I usually take a break from it during summer and try to get some sun instead. But i didn't know that it helped with cortisol levels. I know mine are high bc i had some testing done years back bc the doctors weren't sure if i had pcos or cushings (they're both similar)

i am always angry a week before my period. I am hoping with my IUD maybe the hormones will calm my crazy down. Breathe girl we all are a bit out there. :)

Since being on a ketogenic diet I haven't even been hangry. Worth a shot

We deal with this in my family too - every few months we take a round of 5-HTP for about a month. I would do some research and see if it might be a good fit for you. It helps with serotonin levels.

I also struggle with cortisol levels being elevated when they shouldnt be - which heightens my stress and makes me way more irritable and angry - vitamin D helps with this.

Thanks ladies for your support and advice. Charlotte I already take evening primrose oil, and it has helped some but there are just some months I feel like a raging bull in a china shop lol
