Cycle Calculation
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Is there a website or app you can use to put all your cycles in and it works out an average one for you?

I have really bad cycles. My last one was 23 days, then one before was 36, before that was 42 and before that I hadn’t had a period in 8 months.

Has Anyone Experienced Hair Loss
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I noticed my hair has been thinning for the last few years but still manageable. Then I decided to stop the contraceptive pill because I’m 49 and thought my body should go through natural progression into menopause. Since stopping the pill I have lost a lot of hair and fear I will lose it all. I am thinking of going back on the Diane 35 contraceptive pill. I take iron, vitamin d, fish oil and hair and nail supplements

Trying To Make A Decision -any Advise?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

So I had been on the pill for a decade and noticed my hair was thinning. With PCOS I was always too scared to get off the pill, but then starting thinking the pill was causing my hair to fall out so I decided to take a break as well as my ferritin (iron storage was low). One year on my hair has fallen out much worse! I started taking iron tablets, now on fish oil and vista in d and hair supplements. But given it’s gotten worse I went back to doctor to get my hormone levels checked now that my… read more

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

My dr recommended I try this since I'm almost out of pre-diabetic stage just can't get under the one point percentage, it's very frustrating! Also to try and help me to lose weight and get periods naturally and to conceive. I started plant based & whole wheat last week, so far doing really good on it! :) # fingerscrossed Anyone doing this and it helped them lose weight or helped them get periods or subside the… read more

Pcos A Thing Of The Past?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Went to a gynecologist tonight due to fibroids in uterus. Did the internal ultrasound to check on my pcos but apparently they are gone. I have bigger issues and currently freaking out as one fibroid needs investigating but the doc said my pcos is a thing of the past. I’m confused can pcos ever go away and why is my body not showing signs of it. I know it sounds stupid I should be happy right but I feel like there is information missing here

Ok so when I was 25 and trying to get pregnant, my periods were like 3 months apart, testosterone was slightly high, weight gain as soon as I got off the pill and I had cysts on my ovaries. After 2… read more

Is It Crazy To Look Into Having A Baby And Not Be Married Due To PCOS And Age? (Feeling Like Your Against Time)
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Do not get me wrong I love and want babies. However, I feel like being over 30 now and having PCOS time is against me. In my fairy tale I would have had two children by time I was 28. Its the typical young girl two kids, husband, house dream. However, none of things have been accomplished. Now I am over 30, no kids, boyfriend, and a job. Really just lost on how to feel or avenues to take.

Hair Loss?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2007 when I was only 13 and for the past year I have noticed that my hair is thinning a lot. Has this happen to anytime else? If so, how do I stop it?

A myPCOSteam Member

I took Spironolactone in my late 20's to 30's. I stopped using it, but I don't remember why. It did help my hair grow though. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
