Acid Reflux

Acid Reflux

Ever since ive gained weight from pcos I have the worst acid reflux. I take Omeprazole for the pain but i know i shouldnt be on it for long its very dangerous but man that pain is no joke. What do some of you ladies do about it naturally?

allergens were causing the majority of my reflux - causing phlegm, and then my stomach ramped up acid production to eliminate it. Taking daily anti-allergen pills has helped immensely.
For short-term fix, a shot of diluted vinegar can help.
Probiotics seem to help too.

FYI, if you try to come off omeprazole, do so VERY SLOWLY. Go from a full pill to a half pill, so OTC, then off. Doign so rapidly will give you such bad heartburn you''ll think you are dying!

FYI, taking it for long term affects what minerals etc your body absorbs, so if you can, slowly wean yourself off. I know it's hard tho, so good luck!
