You can absolutely be tested. Request a blood test (Specifically your dhea sulfate level) and request a pelvic ultrasound. And try to keep track of your irregular menstrual cycle. You only need 2 of the 3 to be diagnosed.

I was diagnosed last week after an emergency admission to hospital with sever abdominal pain, turned out be a ruptured ovarian cyst and an internal ultrasound diagnosed my polycystic ovaries. I would have very irregular periods last one being in October!!

I have the excess hair growth on my chin, thinning hair on my head, unexplained weight gain, pain in my abdomen on both sides, I have only had one period in almost a year and thats because she gave me some hormone pill for 10 days, tired all the time.
