I temped for a bit, maybe a cycle or two, just to see if I ovulated. I usually did the temperature first thing in the morning.. I would notice a spike in the middle of my cycle like a .1/.2 thing.. it was a couple of years ago, so don't remember the specifics.. not trying to conceive yet, just wanted to experiment, knowing that PCOS causes irregular periods, and problems ovulating.. I wish you lots of luck..

I have never temped myself, but from what I understand when you ovulate your basal temperature will rise about a degree or so. It will stay around that temp for a while and then drop right below af or remain elevated if you become pregnant. I have also heard to take it first thing in the morning even before you get out if bed for it to be most accurate. I personally use opks and they have seemed to work for me, but I know not everyone with pcos can use them. I didn't start using them until I started having periods on my own though. Good luck!

I got pregnant twice using BBT. Ended in losses though,I believe due to my insulin resistance. I'm getting help from a RE now for over a year taking medication to help with ovulation so haven't beed temping. Not pregnant one time. So if this cycle I'm in now won't work after my HSG next period and if that test comes back fine. I will continue with medication and start back temperature every morning.
