A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hi ladies what level does the blood progesterone test have to be to prove and show ovulation and production of an egg ??

A serum progesterone of 30nmol/L or greater when measured 7 days before the next predicted menstruation (e.g. day 21 of a 28 day cycle) is good evidence of ovulation. Lower progesterone levels do not exclude the possibility of an ovulatory cycle.

I found this info on this website: https://www.gloshospitals.nhs.uk/our-services/s...

Also some mums net forums say that anything over 30/35 is good indication of ovulation :) fingers crossed for you hun!

I wonder if you could ask your fertility doctor of GP for an HCG blood test to check if you are, as waiting all that time just seems a lot i think. At least then you can start thinking of taking your next round if it hasn’t worked (fingers crossed it has). I’m not sure to be honest as a lot of people are different, my OH’s mum didnt get a positive until she was about 5 month gone, my auntie had the same issue, but its rare. Maybe monday if you haven’t had a cycle, ask for the blood test xxx
