I have check ups every 6 months for my thyroid, but only once a year for my PCOS stuff unless recommended differently from my doctor. Recently that has changed because I am working on losing weight, balancing my hormones and trying to get pregnant. I think it all depends on where you are in your life, such as are you trying to get pregnant, are you trying to balance your hormones with medications or vitamins etc. If you are actively trying to do something regarding your body, regular check ups are necessary to see if you are helping and causing more harm to your body/hormones. But if you are only focusing on basic things such as changing your diet, adding exercise etc. then I think once a year at your annual women's exam should be fine. But again, it all depends on you and where you are in this whole process.
