Need Help To Find A Gyn/endocrinologist Doctor In Or Around College Park, MD Area With PCOS And Endometriosis Expertise
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I'm 22 yrs old, not trying to have a baby now but was told a fertility doctor is better to go to for diagnosis and treatment for PCOS and endometriosis. Any doctors and information would be greatly appreciated.

I tried getting an appointment with fertility specialists cause I was also told the same thing…they all kept saying “we can’t see you unless you wanna have a baby right now” but maybe you’ll have better luck than I did!

I made an appointment with this doctor. Going to see her after seeing my gynecologist and an endocrinologist that don’t seem to know what to do regarding my level of symptoms. She’s in the northern VA area. I have not met her yet! But she specializes in treating female hormone conditions and was highly recommended by a friend of mine. I’m 30 years old, trying to get relief from symptoms, not trying to have a baby yet as well. She’s not covered by insurance so she is a bit more expensive but I figured I’d give you the info in case it could be helpful. Best of luck!!

Just wanted to say, not sure if you’re still looking for a doctor but I finally went to go see the doctor that I posted the name/website. And she really cares…she’s literally the first doctor to look at all my test results and even though she hasn’t figured out the answer yet she doesn’t want to give up. She also performs a very thorough urinalysis test of the sex hormones/metabolites which I need since my pcos is a very strange/sneaky type with odd symptoms and my blood labs don’t necessarily show typical values…the doctors Ive seen before her were so bad and just kept trying to send me to someone else cause they wouldn’t listen to the fact that my symptoms are egregious and simply said “well you’re normal enough so there’s nothing to help you with” when I literally haven’t been able to return to work in 8 months my symptoms have been so horrible 🙄…anyways! Sorry for another long post, I just know it is hard to find doctors with good knowledge and that actually care!! And this lady actually freaking cares about helping me feel better…so I wanted to let you know I did meet her and stand by recommending her! Hope you find a good one whoever it is! 🫶

My suggestion is that you look online to find one nearest to you around your area
