Yeast Infection Medication Helping With Weight Loss
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hey all,

Has anyone ever had problems losing weight despite eating and exercising like they were told to and then get a yeast infection or something like that and it actually help you to lose weight?

I had one a few months ago and dropped all the weight I had gained in the past year and now it had come back up to pre infection weight. Still exercising like I am suppose to ( I walk a mile a day and do 20 minutes of weights along with getting yoga in) but it's still going up. I can't seem to… read more

Also if your cutting out dairy milk for inflammation / insulin problems I think it’s only no sugar plant based milks that don’t increase insulin , hormone imbalance and inflammation not lactose free .
Apparently gluten and dairy milk are inflammatory so that may be your problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ Could be worth a try. Hope I helped x

Do you eat gluten, dairy, and sugar? If so, eliminating these from your diet (in a timely & practical way of course) should help. Gluten kills the lower digestive tract, so our bodies are not able to process the food we eat correctly, which can result in being underweight OR overweight.

I've been eating whole wheat pasta for about a year now. If I eat white pasta its because we went out to eat. I barely eat pasta anymore as it is. I even cut out dairy and drink either soy milk (chocolate milk with 10g protein) or lactose-free white milk. I have talked to a nutritionist and she said I had to change nothing because I'm already doing (lots of research since my gyno hasn't offered more help) all her suggestions. I have been taking inositol for a few months now and still haven't seen a difference. Been on a plateau since last year in weight. Literally, the ONLY time I've been below what I've been for a year now is when I had a yeast infection and they piled on medications for various reasons, after I came off the meds my weight went right back to where I am now (same as last year).

I never lost weight when I had yeast infections. Having trouble losing weight has more to do with insulin resistance. Our body produces more insulin because it doesn’t do what it should with insulin. So we should be extra careful with goods that can spike insulin. Which is why I think so many do well on a keto or similar to keto diet but uou shouldn’t avoid carbs just large amounts and certain ones.
