Has anyone been diagnosed with pre-diabetes and been put on medication for it that helped you lose weight?
I have 1.5 weeks til i see my doctor about my blood work and my anxiety has me trying to find out as much info about whay might be talked about so i can make notes before i go
After a very emotional and frustrating doctors appointment, ive started metformin...just half a pill a day for 4 days, then starting half a pill twice a day starting tomorrow. Stomach isnt doing great, lack of appetite too...but hoping it gets better. Fingers crossed 🤞
Yes! I wasn't pre-diabetic but I've been on & off of metformin for 9 years. It's helpful with maintaining weight & regulating blood sugar of course, but I will def prewarn you that your stomach may be super sensitive to it.
Not the case for all women but it tore my stomach up no matter what I ate, so I had to get off of it.
I was borderline, my aic was like 5.9
I take metformin and my a1c is down to 4.9 regularly.
Yes im prediabetic but i hate the medicine they put me on
my Endo in December put me on Ozempic to see if it would help with the recent development of Insulin Resistance - so far it hasn't helped lower my levels or bring my A1C into range - but time will tell, been living with PCOS since 1986.
