How Can I Find A Pcos Professional On Here?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed but my doctors didn’t tell me my type or catagory of pcos so how do I know what to do or how to treat it?

I would say get your hormones tested ..and speak to an endocrinologist or obgyn about treatment

Agreed^ I’m going to see a specialist next month (who isn’t covered by insurance unfortunately but she has experience in bio identical hormone treatment and was highly recommended by a friend of mine). She specifically treats hormonal disorders and since I’ve already seen an endocrinologist and obgyn(who are both a somewhat confused by the level of symptoms I’m experiencing with lean pcos), I’m exploring this option as well to see if I can find relief from my plethora of symptoms I experience daily…If my appointment goes well I’m happy to send you her name in case it’d be helpful for you! I just haven’t met her yet so I’m getting lots of labs from my other doctors to collect the data and present it to her! (She’s in the northern Virginia area)
