Has Anyone Experienced Prolonged Bleeding And Found Something That Helps? No Bc, Trying To Conceive!
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question šŸ’

Was diagnosed with hypothyroid and PCOS. Periods are not heavy but have lasted for 2 months at a time for the last 3 times. Ultrasound didn't find anything, and Doctor's say my levels are "normal" now after being on thyroid medicine and metformin for 6 months but my period won't regulate. Anyone else have something similar?

Hmm so I have experienced this a few times throughout my lifeā€¦unfortunately I am not really sure what helps besides me practicing an allergen free diet seems to help regulate my bleeding and periods much more than when I donā€™t..when I go off my diet my bleeding and periods get REALLY messed up and even though docs will say my values are ā€œnormal enoughā€ Iā€™ll end up feeling like crapā€¦ when I started the diet many years ago I actually ended up pregnant (unfortunately it was the wrong time in my life and completely by accident..also didnā€™t even know I had PCOS at the time šŸ˜“) but if youā€™re TTC I would also recommend this since that did happen to me! Itā€™s gluten, dairy, soy, corn, egg, and peanut free for 30days and then after 30days you can reintroduce foods one by one (if you want toā€¦most ppl feel so much better they end up not..) -also helps a lot with weight gain, digestion, hormone swings, etc! Hope you figure out what works best for you though and that you find some relief!
