My doctor told me my fatigue was likely related to an iron or b12 or vitamin d deficiency. I have raised those levels to a normal range so my doctor told me she is out if ideas. I try to practice good sleep hygiene, take magnesium, and get 9-10 hours of sleep at night but I am still tired all of the time.

It's really frustrating to do everything "right" and still feel exhausted β€” you're definitely not alone in this. PCOS-related fatigue is complex, and hormonal imbalances like elevated androgens and insulin resistance can directly contribute to persistent tiredness, even when vitamin levels are normal.

It may be worth asking for a referral to a specialist, such as an endocrinologist, who can take a deeper look at your hormone and glucose levels specifically in the context of PCOS. Beyond what you're already doing, here are some additional strategies that may help:

- Diet β€” Focus on a low-carb, protein-rich diet with leafy greens, eggs, fish, and plant-based proteins. Staying well-hydrated also supports energy levels.
- Exercise β€” Regular movement, even 20–25 minutes a day, has been shown to improve energy and hormone balance in people with PCOS.
- Stress management β€” High stress worsens fatigue. Guided meditation, deep breathing, or working with a therapist can help.
- Melatonin β€” Some myPCOSteam members report success using melatonin to improve sleep quality alongside magnesium.

Since you're already sleeping 9–10 hours, it may also be worth discussing whether hormonal treatments could help address the root cause of your fatigue with a specialist.
