Has Anyone Found Anything That Helps With Fatigue?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

My fatigue is so bad I am struggling to stay awake all the time. It does not seem to matter how many hours I sleep. I usually have a headache. Sometimes so severe that I will have distorted vision or no vision in one eye usually for a few hours. I don’t know how much longer I can keep up with life while dealing with this fatigue. I welcome any suggestions.

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

I suffer from huge ups and downs with depression and my mother wants me to take something for it and I used to take Wellbutrin but I felt it didn't work, i was hoping that maybe anyone might be taking something like it and wanted to know if it is helping you.

A myPCOSteam Member

I take 100mg sertraline tablets for my depression, but it was diagnosed before I was diagnosed with PCOS.
I'm also on 500mg metformin twice a day and simvastatins, 20mg.

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Hi!!! I just got diagnosed friday PCOS. My doc prescribed me on spironolactone. I need to grab it from the pharmacy and start it.

Before i start i wanted to ask if anyone has any experiences with it? My doc said it does cause weight gain but if you watch your calories you should be fine.

Yes, back in the day, it kinda worked for me, you must also have a good skin regimen. Drink lots of water and avoid salt. It also effects your potassium levels.

What Treatments Are There To Help With Weight
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

I struggle with my weight so badly. It's frustrating I eat small portions, exercise, and eat mostly non- processed food, I don't know what else to do I lost a bunch and then gained it all back and then some and I didn't do anything differently. I've also had 6 miscarriages. I'm so frustrated with my body and even with antidepressants I feel suicidal. People are so mean to me because of my weight and try as I might I just keep going up. I was on metformin and it made my depression and anxiety go… read more

Ovasitol
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Has anyone tried Ovasitol? It claims to be "a high quality, medical-grade supplement that combines both myo and d-chiro-inositol that mimic’s the body’s own ratio" and boasts it will " improve insulin sensitivity, restore hormone balance, improve ovulation and egg quality in women with PCOS."

I just ordered some and have yet to try it. Simply looking for feedback. Any reviews from your own personal experience with it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nicole

Theres a local company that makes 600mg capsules so I take 2. For me it's better than having to drink all that powder. Not TTC… read more

Do You Struggle With Feeling Like You Are Less Feminine Or Less Womanly Due To PCOS // Symptoms?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Do you struggle with feeling like you are less feminine or less womanly due to PCOS // symptoms? What do you do that helps you to feel better? Sometimes it is hard for me to feel beautiful, sexy, womanly, or just happy (I'd even settle with just ok) with my body. Maybe its body hair, weight, depression, anxiety, or any of the other symptoms I experience... But sometimes I feel like having PCOS means that something is wrong or broken in me as a woman and feminine being. I'm trying to find what… read more

Are All These Things Linked?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Okay, so I’m new to this so I’m not exactly sure how it works. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 18 but it was kind of brushed off by the doctors and told to take the pill.

Does anyone else suffer with fatigue and sugar crashes? Also joint pain (which I always put down to hypermobility but im now thinking potentially not), anexity over really stupid things and hormone surges. Also I get pain in my sides at week before I get my period, assumed something to do with ovulation.

I’ve seen… read more

Food Question
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question đź’

Which types of fruit and vegetables are best for us?

I like plain stuff, if i eat cauliflower, i just eat potatoes and cauliflower for example. I dont like making things that take hours to prepare.

I dont eat meat, fish or any other animal. I am a vegetarian, i only eat eggs, drink milk. I eat veggie burgers and alike.

A myPCOSteam Member

Being a vegetarian is beneficial, but there are certain omino acids that are in meat that PCOS patients need. Try a good colleges and suppliments for vegetarians.
