Hair Texture Changes?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I know that its normal for hair to change over our lifetimes, but in just a few short years my hair transitioned from mostly straight to incredibly curly and unruly. I read a study that claimed testosterone can change the shape of the hair follicles. Anyone else go through this?

My hair changed when my doctor inserted an IUD, claiming it would help with everything. Fast forward six months my hair is unruly, and SO thin that it's causing major depression. Searching for ways to… read more

How Do You Deal With Debilitating Fatigue During Your Period?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I'm pretty much always tired, but during my periods I feel exhausted to the point where I am late for work, cannot properly function, and am so lethargic. Does anyone else experience this? How do you deal with this?

Two years without my period, meds for ten days and she’s back. However, I have no energy and very nauseous.

A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Do Some Of You Have Weird Nails?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Yesterday i discovered that my toenails are doing some weird thing. The new part of the nail is very hard, has ridges and is higher than the rest of the nail. I read it could have multiple things it could come from, like thyroid, diabetes and a heartattack. As those sometimes come in pcos, not the heartattack, but you know blood pressure from stress and all. Pictue is in the next bit, so i dont shock people.

Has Anyone Read This Book?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I just started reading this book that a friend recommended to me. She battled infertility for two years and is convinced it is what helped her get pregnant. I'm only two chapters in but it is so interesting! I'm going to try the "plan" outlined in the book in the hopes that it will help me get pregnant. Have any of you read it or tried the recommended lifestyle changes? If so, what was your experience?

Joint Inflammation
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

Do any of you ladies get really bad joint pain? I keep having days where my neck, shoulders, back, hips, knees and wrists just feel insanely uncomfortable...like they need to crack or are grinding weird. Gets to the point when i feel sick and become almost useless.

MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF PCOS??
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I saw that there is more than one type of PCOS and I'm really confused. I read another post but I don't have diabetes which the post said is what type 1 is. Is there a group or page that shows what symptoms are in type 1 and type 2 instead of people saying what the differences are? I am doing my research so I can make sure I am asking the right questions to my primary care doctor or when I get an OB/GYN. I only got diagnosed last year and was given birth control and spironolactone was told to… read more

Sorry A Little TMI. Does Anyone Have Issues With Bowel Problems?
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

So awkward I know, but I've had bowel problems. Some days are normal, and I will get constipation for a bit and then diarrhea for a few days. Not exactly in this order though. Well for the past week and a half I've had diarrhea and it feels like the toilet paper is made from broken glass. Though it doesn't hurt to make a bowel movement, only when I wipe. I also get a small amount of bleeding. I get cramps. I also get a sharp pain on my upper right side of my abdomen as well as it almost hurts… read more

Uplifting Social Media? Lets Connect!
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

My question is only slightly related to PCOS
Being artsy, craving that sense of community, and suffering from anxiety and depression, I have found that striving to keep my social media positive actually helps me to encourage myself- Just like my blog gives me a space to capture my journeys in a way that not only helps encourage others but helps me to process. I think that connecting with others on Instagram, Snapchat, and those who have blogs- whether your social media is all about PCOS or not-… read more
