Does Anyone Recommend Metformin For PCOS?

My older sister also has PCOS and has been taking Metformin. She says it works and has been helping her with symptoms including losing weight. Any more recommendations? Tips/advice? Other alternatives?

Hey there is a natural form called inositol. Search on google inositol for pcos and there is a good article. I think its by tarryn poulton. If you wanted to try it i buy it in iherb.com

I've been on Metformin for over 10 years. It keeps my cycle regulated, and keeps the insulin resistance in check, but I have digestive issues from taking it. I take probiotics to help that, and it works most of the time.

I was on Metformin for about 8 years, it helped regulate my cycles after a while though I had difficultly with my blood sugar going way too low. I did not have any weight loss and eventually went off and my cycles are still very regular now.
