Does Anyone Take Wellbutrin Or Something Like It With Metformin To Help With Depression?

I suffer from huge ups and downs with depression and my mother wants me to take something for it and I used to take Wellbutrin but I felt it didn't work, i was hoping that maybe anyone might be taking something like it and wanted to know if it is helping you.

I take Fluoxetine (Prozac) and Metformin. I've been taking Fluoxetine for about 6 years now. It helps tremendously! I'm alot calmer and I don't get anxious as I used to.

I take Wellbutrin and Metformin...
I was taking Wellbutrin before TCC, and stopped when we conceived and didn't go back on even after a miscarriage.
Then after about a year without conceiving again and then learning I had PCOS, it triggered another depressive episode.
I went back on Wellbutrin about 6 months ago, and within 1 week of taking it again...it was literally like someone turned the lights back on the world for me. Things literally looked brighter, I plan to just stay on it until I'm pregnant.
It's been about 6 months on Metformin as well, and with a balanced diet and just a few walks a week; I've lost 19 lbs.

I use Wellbutrin xl and metformin. The Wellbutrin helps you not gain weight. Helps with binge eating, but trying other anti depressants this one works well for me. Also aldactone helped with water weight and acne.

I've been on Effexor XR since 2002 for TRD and metformin for PCOS. Warning: Effexor is the most difficult antidepressant to discontinue. The withdrawal symptoms are terrible.
