I've been reading a lot about the inositols (DCI and Myo) and how they can be a useful alternative to metformin. I asked my doctor, and she'd never even heard of them before (a bit discouraging). I've read so many rave reviews about how great DCI and Myo-inositol are, especially when taken together in proper dosages.

Ovasitol is the one with both Myo-Inositol D-Chiro-Inositol I'm waiting on my shipment to come. I refuse to take metformin as i stayed sick on my stomach and my cycle would come on and be heavy and last too long of a time.

I ditched Metformin with higher dose D-chiro-inositol 600mg - I took two pills a day. No side effects, natural and worked as good or better!

I was wondering the same thing. I’ve been taking all three but I’m horrible at taking it routinely. That’s probably why I haven’t noticed anything different. Another thing, before I started taking metformin, (I was prescribed only 500 mg a day) I read that taking myo and dci together would reduce the facial hair growth but it hasn’t worked for me. I guess I’ll put a reminder on and update in a month to see if there’s a difference.

I was taking the small packets daily, pink ones. Just bc all the research said it’s good to reduce inflammation. But I’m not good at taking it everyday. I do take a B-12 & Vit D everyday. Along w a high protein diet, low carb.
