Aldactone
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

How much do you have to take to see improvement?
I am taking this medication, but still have major thick facial hairs along my jawline and neck (I have to shave daily - it's embarrassing!) and my acne is always acting up.

Hi.... I've been on aldactone drug for 22 yrs. This drug has been a blessing for me. It has & continues to help my periods be more normal & maintain the facial hair growth (slow down). Please remember that the hair growth may never go away but it can be managed by drugs and regular waxing.

**** Trust me I had my battles with the lack of understand of what this Syndrome is all about as I was diagnose 23 yrs ago. People just don't understand what it feels like to have PCOS 24/7. It doesn't go away as there's no cure yet.

Also thru eating & exercising is key to (the better way) to manage the PCOS issues.

I'm was on 100 mg daily (brand name) for 21 years. As this drug is also "heart related" reducing daily amount is a slow process as the body may react. Please advise thru doctor to watch over your process. Every human reacts differently so please listen to your body (watch for signs things are NOT going well).

The only thing ive ever found good for acne is a supplement called Acumax. Its €117 a box from the salon i get it from but its worth the money. Maybe have a read up about it. :)

I started laser hair removal, and LOVE IT. Nothing else has ever worked. I want to tell everyone to never let embarrassment stop you from living life. I am fortunate enough to be able to brush off what people think. This picture is before my first treatment
