I'm 26 and ever since high school have had trouble trying to lose weight. I just found out this year that I have PCOS and have had it for years since I've been having cysts rupture on my ovaries and facial hair etc since I was in junior high. I was wonder what advise you had for losing weight because it seems no matter how long hard and dedicated I am to trying to lose weight I get no where. Even when I was in sports in high school I would never lose weight. Now it's completely out of control… read more

My fitness pal does work. I lost 3 stone using it and exercising. Going to different classes 3 times a week.

My employer recently offered the Naturally Slim program for free to anyone interested. It is all about eating slowly, actually taking the time to enjoy your food and eating only when you are truly hungry. As a result you end up eating smaller portions. During the first ten weeks I lost 25 pounds. I will admit that since I'm under 200 for the first time in years I am falling back into old habits but I know once I start using the skills from the program again I will continue losing. I like that it is not what you eat, but how and when you eat.

Hey there :) struggling with weight loss really sucks! The key is all about diet. Weight loss is 70% nutritional and 30% working out. I use myfitness pal app to keep me on track with my calories and to keep me accountable for the types of food I eat. Make a small change each week! Good weight loss takes time. Big changes in your diet will also help with your PCOS! Start by just walking an hour a day outside and eating mainly veggies, a small portion of lean meat, nuts/seeds, and fruit. I guarantee you’ll be a pound down in less than a week! Losing 4 pounds a month is a healthy and achievable goal :)
