Depovera And Pcos
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

My doctor prescribed me the depo shot, to stop my longated periods, my problem with the depo is that it’s giving me a lot of pain not only that is it really good for someone who has a hormonal problem to take the depo? Is it ok to not have your period at all?

I’ve been told that it’s okay to not have a period as long as you’re on some form of birth control. Bc if you’re not on something and you’re also not having a period your uterine lining will keep building up (which is usually shed during your period) and that can lead to health complications and increased risks of uterine cancer etc
