Diagnosed With PCOS 3 Years Ago, I’m A Newbie (UK)

Hiya. I’m from the UK and had an awful experience with the NHS. I was diagnosed at the age of 16 (I’m 33 now) and the lady GP asked if I had the internet at home and then to google it! I could barely say the phrase and she wrote it on a post-it. I was immediately put on Dianette, then Microgynon, back to Dianette, about three doses of Metformin and then to finally quitting all meds and controlling my symptoms with weight loss. Like with you, Dianette caused havoc with my body. You can ask your GP to refer you to an endocrinologist for more support. I went to a fantastic clinic at Imperial College in London - my consultant also ran an ‘excess hair clinic’ with a super kind nurse that prescribed Vaniqa cream to stop hair growth. The cream didn’t really help but many sessions of laser has kept my legs hair free for years!
Besides the excess hair, what other symptoms do you have?
