I disagree with the answer above. Taking supplements blindly is such a bad idea. You will have no idea what is working if you are taking multiple and you unless you know about interactions of different supplements or even dosing, then you are putting yourself at risk. Additionally, most supplements have been found to be ineffective when people try them out themselves because they are either buying a product mostly of fillers and not what it claims, they are messing up the dosing, or they aren't paying attention to other factors. Unless you read multiple research articles for each of those supplements she listed to find out exact dosing and timing of them and then also consult with a doctor (who would be more likely to understand a dangerous interaction), then you will just end up wasting your money on supplements and not have results.

Also, you can take all the supplements you want but it your diet isn't right they can't overcome that. If you are having trouble with weight gain you should look into your nutrition. I used to also struggle with weight gain and once I started focusing on my nutrition I was able to fix so many things about PCOS. I even got off metformin and still was able to take my glucose levels from higher end of pre-diabetic to lower end of normal. A nutrition plan is the FOUNDATION to managing PCOS.

Lastly, talk more about this with your new doctor. You need to make sure you are at least consulting with a doctor throughout the process. Sometimes they are super frustrating, but they can at least check your blood work and can alert you about anything you might be missing that would be damaging to your health.

I took metformin to regulate my periods, but it made me gain about 20-30 lbs.. I have heard about other medications, but don't remember much.. I wish you luck!
