Heavy Periods After Not Having One For A While

I have had PCOS for approximately 3 years. In between these 3 years I've have maybe 2 periods (random spotting inbetween the count of this is unknown but a lot). I just started a period 2 weeks ago. My last period was May of 2018 and it was normal and lasted about 7-9 days or so and wast super heavy, just normal. However, this period IS SO HEAVY and I have been clotting a lot. I also had the same issue once then my doctor gave me contraceptive for 3 months without gap to recover this condition and stop periods and readjust cycle.

I have had the same issues before in the past, I found it best to see my Primary, who was able to give me medication to slow the bleeding, and examine the clots in case something else was going on.
