Dr Just Suspects PCOS....
A myPCOSteam Member asked a question 💭

I have never had a real diagnosis of PCOS. My Gyno said I have it because I have a lot of facial hair especially on my chin area. I have a period monthly like clock work. I've had one pregnancy 17 years ago at the age of 23 and after I had my daughter my body never recovered. I didn't have these issues before her. We have never been able to have another child since and I haven't been on any kind of birth control. I have had test done in the past and have all come back "within range". I have… read more

Wow sounds similar to my story. I had a daughter over 9 years ago when I was 19 then got diagnosed with pcos when she was 3, I was 21. I didn't have no problems until around a year after having my daughter. I'm now 28 nearly 29 and I have and pretty much always had regular cycles but haven't had any luck in having a second child and have been ttc for 9 years and 2 months now. I can't lie I've conceived several times but can't seem to carry past 5-6 weeks. I've never been offered meds as my Gynae and gp really couldn't care less. Doesn't matter how much I push for it. Although I don't struggle with losing weight I struggle with gaining it and am only 8 stone. So pcos is different for everyone, but going by what u said it sounds like u have pcos. Although I wouldn't settle with just being told. Push for a scan and bloods Hun! I feel for ya girl kinda in the same boat. xx

Id suggest get a second opinion of someone who will actually test you for it, instead of guessing. Guessing without diagnosis can cause more damage than not. Especially if there is something else that is causing problems or something that needs treatment

Yes it's possible to have regular periods and pcos. There are different types of pcos and it effects everyone differently. Some have no periods, some have periods for weeks /months/years, some have regular periods and then a mix of other symptoms as well.
