What Are Other People's Experiences With Mirena?
I'm going into hospital tomorrow to get the Merina put in. I've been living with chronic pain for almost 3 years and this is the last alternate treatment i have before a laporoscopy - that would mean checking for endo and if nothing is there, undiagnosible pain.
The mirena was great for the 5 years i has it. Very light periods etc. having it removed was supposed to be simple. Fast forward 2 days later I was rushed to the hospital bc i was hemorrhaging. The back of the ambulance looked like something from a horror movie. It was literally pouring off the stretcher. They gave me injection of birth control and several other bc pills to try and halt the bleeding. I was given iv fluids and iron and monitored. The dr came in and said if it didn’t stop or slow within 24 hours they were going to do a blood transfusion. Thank God it slowed up a lot. Scary! I said right then, never again.
Mirena isn’t perfect, but it’s done a lot of good for me with endo and PCOS. Relax when they put it in 😊
Hey, Ive had the same issue for years, i had a laporoscopy done to search for endo too but nothing was shown and also had the marina put in the same time i had the surgery. Marina wasnt for me as it came out on its own, but everybodys body's different!, wishing you all the best of luck :)
