Has anyone ever not have their period for 2-3 months and then when their period returns it returns big? Like heavy flow and lasting longer than a week? My period length is 5 days and I am right now on day 9. This didn’t happen when I took a low dosage of medroxyprogesterone to help regulate it. I am trying to avoid meds. Any one had similar experience? It’s as if my period is compensating for the skipped months.

The longest I went without having a period was 9 months. My first one back was horrible. I had a very heavy flow and horrible cramps thanks for progesterone pills.

Yes, I don’t get a period for 6 months or more usually, and then sometimes bleed for weeks at a time, VERY heavy (changing sanitary products every 45-60 mins) and very painful

Yes I have, more many years. I won't have one for like 4 months.. I take birth control to regulate it. Gyno said she doesn't care if I am not bleeding but whats important is you need progesterone. If you don't bleed you are not getting progesterone. So either take progesterone pills or birth control with it in it.
If you are not making progesterone your risk of 4 types of cancer skyrocets
