For me I’d say it took 2.5 months for metformin to have an effect on me responding to fertility meds. So hang in there!
That sounds like a good plan to consider today as day 1 and start Clomid tomorrow. I hope you have a better cycle this round.

Ive seen my doctor at the gp surgery im on metformin only been on for a few weeks so far dunno if ita making a difference im on clomid its started ive got cramps and getting abit heavier not full flow but i can tell its a period. Doctor told me to stop taking provera and let this period run its course just got to take clomid think im going to class today as day 1 so clomid tomorrow thing that seems right last time she said to class day one as day after spotting starts. I normally get light periods too

Oh okay that’s good it’s turned red it’s likely going to start regular flow today. If you reach your dr ask them. My dr also wants me to consider start after 5pm as the following day for day 1. I usually want to start my medications as soon as possible so I find this annoying but thankfully normally my period has started by noon. Good luck! This process is tough. I know you’re in the UK so I don’t know how things work there but any chance you can see an RE? they’re better for fertility than an OB. I’ve needed to be put on metformin, and also injections to get me to ovulate. Also they monitor more often which is good to know what’s happening and if you ovulate or not.
