Being Yourself Is More Than Enough

Posted on May 14, 2018

"After years of feeling like I need to be better, stronger, healthier, and in control, I now know I am enough." -Member of myPCOSteam

Members of myPCOSteam experience the burden of PCOS physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Sometimes we strive to appear healthier than we are to avoid the stigma of PCOS. Other times, we experience relief and support from women who've been in our shoes.

"I'm getting out of the rat race. I'm not going to be ashamed of my condition anymore. If I'm tired, I'm going to rest. Hearing from others with PCOS has taught me that I have to prioritize ME." -Member of myPCOSteam

Here are recent conversations from myPCOSteam:

I'm here to help as much as I can because I wouldn't want anyone to feel alone in this PCOS struggle.

Despite having a bad day yesterday, I woke up positive... I remind myself that I have to take baby steps.

I challenge all of you lovely ladies to go look in the mirror (right out of bed, crusty faced and all) and compliment yourself on three different things you haven’t appreciated on your body before. For example - the other day, I noticed how cute my shins look in leggings.

Have you found yourself striving to appear as though you have it all together? Have you discovered ways to surround yourself with others who make you feel that you are more than enough? Share what you've learned in the comments below or directly on myPCOSteam.
